Do you love animals?! Do you want to make a difference in the lives of pets in need? If so, we want YOU to join our team of animal lovers.

This full time position starts at $14.50/hour and is 40 hours/week. The hours that are needed are as follows:

Sunday OFF, Monday 8am-1pm, Tuesday OFF, and Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 8:15am-5pm

Duties:

- Provide daily care and support for animals

- Perform routine tasks such as feeding, watering, and cleaning animal enclosures

- Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any abnormalities to the supervisor

- Assist with administering medications and treatments

- Handle animals safely and with compassion, following established protocols and guidelines

- Maintain accurate records of animal observations, treatments, and procedures

- Clean and sanitize animal enclosures, equipment, and work areas according to established protocols

-Facilitating adoptions and general customer care

Requirements:

- Previous experience working with animals in a professional setting highly preferred, but open to training to the right candidate

- Ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments safely and effectively

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other staff members

- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting or carrying heavy objects, standing for long periods of time, and working in various environmental conditions

Along with daily routine care of both dogs and cats, this position is also one that heavily works with the public on a daily basis. Customer service skills and organizational skills are a must. Applicant should be comfortable returning phone calls, having face-to-face interactions with adopters and community members, as well as being able to produce clear communication by email. Knowledge of several social media platforms is a bonus, but will teach necessary applications that are used daily.
