Who are we?
Our Mission Statement:
The Springfield Humane Society is dedicated to improving the quality of life for animals by providing protection, compassionate care and adoption services
for homeless animals. Through public education, we advocate for a humane
community by promoting responsible pet ownership and prevention of cruelty
to animals.

The Springfield Humane Society is a small, progressive animal welfare organization working out of Springfield, Vermont.

We operate a small shelter handling dogs and cats. Other species of animals are handled on a case by case basis, based on availability of space and resources.
Animals are only euthanized if a veterinarian deems them too ill to humanely save or if their behavior would be a hazard to the community.
We strive to solve problems before animals have to end up at the Shelter, using creative solutions to individual and area wide problems.
